Florida Computer Science Standards

Hey Blog! Looking over the body of knowledge which is covered among the benchmarks and codes, I chose to go with 3rd-5th grade as I believe I can be prepared to implement this based on my current level of skill sets. To the contrary, I have certifications in Microsoft, Windows and Adobe products enough to use for myself or to teach. But based on the computer science standards of Microsoft Word, I can safely say I can teach 3rd-5th graders, as their learning goals consist communications, collaboration, computing, practices, ethics and programming. I have experience in all of these subjects, and I feel more than prepared to teach. I can safely say I can make a lesson plan for some of the benchmarks they need to mark off and know the subjects of. Such as using word to send emails, the use of media and publishing as well.

CPALMS (Collaborate, Plan, Align, Learn, Motivate, and Share)

CPALMS is an amazing website that not only becomes the ultimate guide for teachers of all stages within the K-12 system but a system of others in hopes of spreading education and enhancing it. After looking at 5th grade tools for English and vocabulary, I rendered out that with the endless possibilities from less plans, teaching ideas, and tutorials for students to use through us teachers, it's almost a must. The resources can be used in my teachings a way to guide me on the importance of material that I need to get across. This can help me compose lesson plans that maximizes out the material and less of the concept of working around it or winging it. I can use text resources to use to teach such as related topics and worksheets. Lesson plans can be useful to direct my lesson plans or use ideas of. Student tutorials will also be helpful as I can post a few online or demonstrate mid class. 

Internet Searching

The importance of being a proficient internet searcher as a teacher is to keep up with the world and the trends around. For example, if teachers were giving assignments out and dint realize that ChatGPT was out student would of started to propose AI generated work as their own rather as something generated. This can cause troubles and issues as it would either slow or enhance education and teachers wouldn't be aware. I will be using the advanced search tool, as I've been aware of the tool but never really used it until reading about it during our module as it's really useful to be direct on the type of information you're searching for. Another tool I use a lot when searching is reverse image searching or using an AI to search for specific articles from a certain website. I usually get the image link from where I found an image that might not be from the original source. Likewise AI also does this and can go even further for articles to find the specific article from a news outlet.
